Low level laser therapy (LLLT) is treatment with light energy to affect energy metabolism in the body. Light can’t travel very deep into the body, but it can stimulate the nervous system, the nervous communication system in the body, in a way similar to acupuncture and chiropractic.
 
Applied in the correct dosage it can also speed up wound healing and/or superficial tendon and joint injuries. LLLT can NOT replace ordinary veterinary care.
 
LLLT is convenient for animals and humans that don’t appreciate needles.
